September 12, 2024 – Kingston, ON We are deeply saddened by the news of the incident that occurred in the Montreal and Railway Street area of Kingston today. Our immediate priority is to support our clients and individuals in our community who are impacted as well as of course the staff of all our organizations.
Thank you to Kingston Police Services and all Emergency Response providers for responding to this very difficult and challenging situation.
This is an active police investigation, and to support their ongoing investigation we have been asked to temporarily close the services of the Integrated Care Hub (ICH) at 661 Montreal Street. This closure will be effective immediately and is expected to last a couple of days.
Collectively, we are facing the most difficult social problems of our time, and as ever, our focus is on working with our community to support the most vulnerable.
We are committed to collaborating together with all health, social service, municipal and other sector partners to find workable solutions for all people.

Background
The ICH is supported by a group of integrated partners (AMHS-KFLA, Trellis HIV & Community Care, Kingston Community Health Centres, Providence Care and Home Base Housing) who work together to provide low-barrier services to address the needs of individuals who access care, many of whom are unhoused and have substance and/or mental health concerns.
