January 3, 2025 – The partners who operate the services at the Integrated Care Hub (ICH) are pleased to share the latest update on service availability and the further re-opening of service options at the ICH.
Rest Zone
Starting Monday, January 6, 2025, the Rest Zone will open for up to 28 individuals to use overnight from 9 pm to 9 am, seven days a week.
Individuals interested in this care will need to sign up daily to reserve their spot.
In addition, up to 10 of these beds will be assigned to individuals who are interested in further treatment. These beds will support a pre-stabilization period, helping clients transition to other programs outside of the ICH. This initiative aligns with the ICH mission to connect clients with services to facilitate their treatment and wellness goals.
On evenings where the Rest Zone reaches its capacity, ICH staff assist individuals in finding alternative shelter and rest options available within the City of Kingston for that night.
Access and Support Centre
The Access and Support Centre is now available from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, seven days a week. A maximum of 25 individuals are allowed inside at one time to support safe access.
During this time, individuals can:
- Connect with essential services
- Access showers, bathrooms and/or computers
- Meet with workers for services and care
- Address basic requirements including access to primary care and a full spectrum of addiction and mental health supports.
Access to the ICH is limited to individuals actively accessing services.
With these changes, the ICH will now be fully re-opened, offering an enhanced service delivery model that intentionally engages those who seek services to establish an individual care plan based on their presenting needs and goals.
